SANTAFANTA – NellaTestaGomma (Italy)
NellaTestaGomma is an itinerant collective of Rome dedicated to live audio-visual performances and to the realization of audio/video installations. The collective is composed by diverse elements and influences: Giuseppe Stellato (sound artist), Mariano Felisio (musician), Nicola Di Roma (director and cut editor), Dario Amoroso (composer) and Gabriele Gravagna (filmmaker).
Santafanta is an audio-visual performance that stages the conflict between the chaotic urban dimension and the untouched calmness of nature. In real time, the images’ editing, going with electronic and psychedelic sounds, creates an ever increasing tension that culminates in an apocalyptic vision: a huge mountain of rubbish. The eyeshot peers at the public, lingering on the worried looks of people. Are we responsible for all of this? Carillon melody and the light rain falling evoke something familiar, bounded to our memories, to a past that barely let us catch glimmers of hope.

8GB – Akira (Argentine)
8GB is an audiovisual set developed in 2004 as a natural flow of Akira’s activities both visual and musical, and his fixation with old computer hardware utilized in modern working environments. It aims towards creating currently listenable beats with old computer data, making an urban blend that can be enjoyed by most any audience interested in fresh new sounds while still retaining appeal for the bleep-obsessed nut.
8GB has performed in the most varied situations, from the best microparties like Microdisko Stockholm to the top of the commercial electronic music circuit in events like Creamfields, South American Music Conference and Onedotzero, passing through the one and only, world reknowned, most important event of 8-Bit Music in the world, the Blip Festival in New York City, USA.

Les Pixels Transversaux est située dans les locaux gérés par la Générale en Manufacture et s’intègre dans son programme ambitieux de créer un lieu de création et de recherche artistique notamment en direction des arts plastiques, de la musique et des nouvelles technologies. Le lieu ?
– Un espace de 80m² (4m de plafond), un bureau de 30m² et un espace de stockage/rangement.
Où ?
– A Sèvres (92) derrière le musée national de la céramique. A 5 minutes du Tramway et du métro.
L’idée ?
– Accueillir des projets artistiques utilisant la vidéo sous forme de résidence courte, mise à disposition de la plateforme technique.
Les projets doivent :
– comporter obligatoirement une création vidéo.
– être autonomes financièrement (auto-production, subvention, …).
– nécessiter des résidences courtes. Durée de un week-end, à 1 ou 2 semaines consécutives par résidence.
– présenter une étape de travail (sous forme de représentation, de workshop ou autre) à la fin de la résidence.
